Fruit Blox

Fruit Blox Introduction

We’re a bit surprised to say that Red Tiger Gaming is one of the most intriguing software developers in the iGaming industry right now. We say surprised because going back to the time before the release of Laser Fruit, the studio seemed to be stuck in a repetitive cycle, churning out assembly line type of uninspiring games.

But that was then. The Red Tiger Gaming you’re looking at now is a company that is willing to change, evolve, and learn from the community. Sure, they still stick to their standard 2000x slots that we all know by now, but we’re starting to see very interesting things happen here, with new mechanics and increased potential.

Fruit Blox is far from ordinary and looks nothing like a traditional slot. Not that Red Tiger slots were horrible to look at before, we’ve seen worse, but this is a step up in our opinion. New designers hired? Who knows.

Similar to their previous release, Tiki Fruits, this is also a cluster mechanics type slot. It comes with a 6-reel4-row reel set with 20 paylines and a bet size ranging from €0.20 – €10. The max bet is a bit low and possibly limited to save smaller casinos from going broke.

The best we can describe what we’re seeing visually is a sort of futuristic fruit disco kind of thing (poetic, we know). Again, visually it looks amazing, with beautiful slow spinning effects when winning clusters connect to form a win along with light beams shooting across the screen.

Fruit Blox Symbols

There are 11 symbols all in all available in this game, wilds and scatters included. Starting from lowest value these are – cherries, lemons, oranges, melons, grapes, bar-symbols, bells, stars, sevens, and the wild. The paytable can appear a bit confusing, but payouts are calculated as a win all ways slot when the symbols connect to form a win. So for example, a full screen of the top paying symbol (Sevens) yields a colossal 8192x win.

The symbols, by the way, can take on different forms and appear in tiles of 2×23×3, and 4×4, almost covering the whole reel set. If two or more of these Mega Tiles are adjacent to each other, they will double the win they form. This way, the game can deliver whopping wins even in the main game. In fact, while conducting our test we managed to land a 320x win outside of the bonus.

Sticking to the tradition of Red Tiger, “heart stoppers” will activate randomly from time to time – the screen starts to vibrate and the reels go into Twin Spin style synchronized spins. When this happens you can either end up with nothing or good things can happen, such as landing a bonus or mega tiles.
