The Wild 3 Slot Game introduction
Oh boy, firing up this slot we didn’t know what was what. We gave up reading the instructions manual and just dived right into it, hoping to learn along the way. The Wild 3 Slot Game may have a standard setup of 5 reels, 3 rows and 10 pay lines, but it’s quite far from a traditional slot, at least when looking at the features.
There’s a lot of things going on in the game, so writing this review turned out to be a bit of a challenge. Focus here appears to be more on entertainment rather than trying to please hardcore slot players. It’s a colourful, happy, action-packed slot with payouts that are nothing out of the ordinary.
With cartoonish visuals and a sound loop inspired by The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, it’s a classic wild west story. The three sheriff heroes – “El Loco” the Racoon, “Five Star” the Coyote, and “T-bone” the Bull, are up against the evil outlaws harassing the sleepy town of Peaceville.
The Wild 3 Slot Game symbols
Symbols on the reels include variations of cactus flowers, dynamite, bags of money, gold bars, safes, banks and vultures, the latter being the most valuable giving you 25 times the stake on bet level 0. Central to the game is the 3 wild symbols represented by the Wild Racoon (purple), the Wild Coyote (red), and the Wild Bull (green), all of them with their own individual abilities:
- Wild Racoon feature – if WILD RACOON appears anywhere on reel 3, it may randomly replace regular symbols on the reels. If 2 BONUS symbols initially appear on the reels and either/both are subsequently replaced by WILD RACOON, the free spins game will still be triggered.
- Wild Coyote feature – if WILD COYOTE appears anywhere on reel 3, all CACTUS symbols (purple, green and tall cactus) turn to WILD COYOTE symbols.
- Wild Bull feature – if WILD BULL appears anywhere on reel 3, all wins in which one or more WILDS are involved are randomly multiplied by 2, 3, 5 or 10.
As explained above, if any of the 3 wild symbols land on the middle reel, the Wild 3 feature is triggered. It’s possible to trigger more than one Wild feature on the same spin. If, for example, the WILD COYOTE and WILD RACOON features are triggered simultaneously, WILD COYOTE feature is initiated first.
The Wild 3 comes with a Super Bet button, found in many other NextGen slots, with 3 options to regulate RTP/Variance, bet size range, and active Wild features:
- Bet level 0 – allows for bets between €0.10 and €100 with a 95.5% RTP setting. Only Wild Racoon feature is active.
- Bet level 1 – allows for bets between €0.15 and €150 with a 96% RTP setting. Both Wild Racoon and Wild Coyote features are active.
- Bet level 2 – allows for bets between €0.20 and €200 with a 96.7% RTP setting. All 3 Wild features are active.
The Wild 3 Slot Game Missions
When playing the game for the first time, a random set of 3 missions is generated. Mission sets are generated randomly for each available coin value and Super Bet level. 3 out of 8 missions will be assigned to each mission set. Sounds complicated? It’s not actually. For example, to complete a mission set you may have to get a big win, trigger the Wild 3 feature and land a 5 of a kind win. Upon doing so, the Rob the Rich feature is awarded.
Rob The Rich Feature
This is essentially a picking bonus with 15 moneybags appearing onscreen. Players start with 3 picks and clicking the moneybags will reveal credit prizes, 2 extra picks or mystery symbols. Revealing a mystery symbol awards a cash prize of 5x – 100x. Total win is the sum of all revealed prizes multiplied by the total bet.
