Cashoccino Introduction
Cashoccino was first launched in 2014 and disappeared from the market for a while. It’s a mediocre slot at best, which is why we’re surprised to see Microgaming bringing it back to life. Makes no sense really. It’s hard to even remember when Microgaming released a good game and we’d rather review something new and fresh, but we’ll have to settle for this, so here we go.
Cashoccino has a classic setup of 5-reels, 3-rows and 30 paylines. With the html5 upgrade, it is now playable on all devices from €0.30 to €30. However, it comes with an “Extra Bet” button, and if activated, the bet options are instead raised to €0.45 to €45.
This game certainly gives us The Finer Reels of Life vibes, which is one of Microgaming’s best slots ever, although Cashoccino seems more like an early failed attempt before they finally got it right with The Finer Reels of Life. The game features relaxing Italian Riviera type music and you can almost smell the luxurious coffee in this cappuccino inspired slot. Not really, it just sounded nice.
Cashoccino Symbols
Symbols on the reels include card suit symbols 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A as well as 5 high-value coffee logos with the Cafe Latte being the most valuable, returning 166x for 5 of a kind. The symbols don’t appear stacked full reels, in fact, it’s likely not even possible to land 2 of the same symbols on one reel which is much of the reason for the low potential. The game also comes with a wild symbol that is worth 333 times the stake if you get 5 of them to connect on a payline.
Cashoccino Free Spins
Alright, so the main game is useless which is why it all comes down to the free spins. There is an “Extra Bet” button in the main game, which for a 50% increase in bet size rewards 30 free spins instead of the standard 15 free spins should 3 or more scatter symbols land on any reel. Furthermore, it triples all wins and rewards an extra free spin for every 2 scatter symbols landing on the reels. If 3 or more scatter symbols lands, another 30 free spins are awarded. This game very much requires you to activate the Extra Bet if you’re going to get anything out of it.
