Dragon’s Fire (Red Tiger): Overview
Sipping drinks by the pool, working on your tan or enjoying a pleasant evening stroll along the beach? This developer is having none of that. We’re in the midst of summer, and the people at Red Tiger are churning out slot after slot at a fast pace. Yesterday we reviewed a Red Tiger game called Flaming Fox, and today we’re diving into another blazing slot by the same provider.
Dragon’s Fire is the third high variance, mega potential (10,000x) slot produced by Red Tiger, preceded by Laser Fruit and Fruit Blox. It has a setup of 5 reels, 4 rows and 40 paylines, and a bet size ranging from €0.20 to €10, which is a relatively low max bet. The theoretical return to player is acceptable at 96.07%, and the variance of the game is high, meaning fewer wins but with a potential to land monster dingers.
The theme itself gives us Smaug (Lord of the Rings) vibes, with the mighty fire-breathing dragon guarding his treasures. The visual production is outstanding, and the sound effects team has done an excellent job at giving the game an epic feel to it.
On the reel set, you’ll find 11 symbols on the whole. Out of these, 8 are regular symbols with 4 of them being premiums represented by blue, green, red, and yellow dragons – the latter giving you 3x for five across a line. The Wild symbol and Dragon Eye symbol comes fully stacked on the reels, and a full screen of either is worth 200 times the stake. That doesn’t sound much, but since the game centres around a multiplier function, it has the potential to go up to 10,000 times the stake with the x50 multiplier.
Dragon’s Fire (Red Tiger): Features
This online slot is all about the Dragon’s Egg multiplier positioned to the right of the reel set. It is activated following a win and increases with each subsequent consecutive win up to a maximum of 50x. The multiplier resets to zero after a non-winning spin.
The dragon eye may appear randomly after any winning spin to increase the Dragon’s Egg multiplier by up to 10x.
The Fire Blasts feature, also a randomly activated feature, can appear in both the main game and the bonus. When it turns up, the dragon breathes fire, leaving wild reels or free spins in its trail.
3 or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels triggers a random number of free spins. You will be presented with three golden dragons and asked to pick one to reveal how many free spins you get, which can be well over 20 spins if lucky.
The bonus is more or less like the main game, but with some very beneficial advantages – if the multiplier in the main game is active when a free spins round begins, the multiplier value is carried over to the free spins where it continues to build with each win regardless of any non-winning spins. At the end of the round, the multiplier is carried over into the main game and remains until a losing spin.
