The Hellboy slots game is loosely based on the Dark Horse comic book series of the same name. If you’re only familiar with the Ron Perlman movie version, you may be disappointed. Like all comic-themed projects, there was a lot of money riding on this Microgaming game and the design team was free to make everything at the absolutely highest level.

Hellboy Design and Gameplay
Hellboy slots uses a simple 5-reel, 20-payline design. It’s flexible yet focused. You can choose to wager one to ten coins on each line and their values span all the way from a single penny to 25c. This puts the minimum bet at just 0.20 while you can potentially put 50.00 on the line by wagering two hundred 0.25 coins.
Out of the many special features offered up by Hellboy online slots, the simplest is the wild symbol: the Hellboy Logo itself. It can substitute for nearly any other symbol to make a winning combination. The only exception to this is the Fist symbol. This is the game’s scatter symbol.
Claim Your Hellboy Bonuses
The Hellboy slot machine has a cool bonus that takes you on a journey through the Underworld. Your success determines how far you will make it. When you see three or more Fist symbols, you will be taken to the Underworld Bonus Game.
First, select one of the five doors and watch the result. Monsters may come out to attack you, which is fine because you’re going to shoot them down and get points each time you do so. Alternatively, you may find a friend and also receive points. Finally, you may find a blocked door which marks the end of the game. If you don’t hit blocked passages, you can potentially cruise through four levels.
You can also be randomly-launched into Super Mode, which means you get ten free spins with up to three positions that will be locked as wild symbols for the entire bonus round. No matter how you are playing, though, each win will take you to a basic double or nothing (and quadruple or nothing) bonus game.
