Tiger Rush Slot Game – Introduction
Sort of dumbfounded by its mediocracy, we struggle to find words for our introduction as we watch the reels spin in Thunderkick’s new creation Tiger Rush Slot Game. Not that it’s awful or that it’s visually repelling, it’s not. It’s just that the lack of ingenuity is making it hard to muster enough enthusiasm to make it through a full review. Because what is there to say when you’ve seen it all a thousand times already, and when the payouts are so nonsensical that even the slow spins fail to raise your heartbeat by a single lousy BPM.
However, some people are into this stuff for reasons we will never understand. Maybe it’s the high bonus frequency in low variance slots that floats their boat, despite the absence of decent potential. In all fairness, they do tend to give players more playtime than high variance slots do in general, with the positive side effect of efficaciously battling wagering. So let’s look at the actual game, maybe there’s some magic there after all.
Tiger Rush is 5-reel, 3-row slot with 10 fixed pay lines that extend to 25 pay lines in the bonus. The game pays both ways, and as usual with Thunderkick slots, players can bet between €0.10 and €100 per spin. The 96.3% theoretical return is nothing out of the ordinary and well within the acceptable range. Tiger Rush is a fast and fairly simplistic slot with focus on wild respins and a bonus game with extended paylines.
Although an ordinary setup, visually the reelset looks a bit unusual with its flat and stretched out design. Furthermore, you will see out-of-focus bamboo trees and sunlight permeating the dreamy jungle undergrowth as the backdrop. The ancient Chinese style Tiger drawing on the blazing wild reels adds a nice touch to the game.
Tiger Rush Slot Game – Paytable & Symbols
Looking at the paytable we can conclude that Tiger Rush only comes with 7 regular symbols, two of them being premiums. The low-value symbols look like what could best be described as radiated Jelly Beans, while Asian art type symbols represent the premiums. The top symbol, a silver bird against an orange background, is worth 15 times the stake for five of a kind.
The wild symbol, represented by the Tiger, only occurs on the middle reels and expands to cover a full reel while also granting 1 respin. Since the regular symbols appear fully stacked on the reels, it’s possible to land a full screen of the top paying symbol, with or without the wild reels (although much more likely to happen with the help of the wilds) giving you a colossal win of 150 times the stake. Yawn.
Tiger Rush Slot Game Bonus
The Tiger Rush logo serves as the scatter symbol, and only appears on the first and the last reel. As if the payouts in the main game aren’t awful enough, the scatter symbol acts as a dead symbol when not connecting to trigger a bonus. To trigger the bonus, players will need to land 2 scatter symbols, or 1 scatter and 1 adjacent wild. Either of these combinations will award 5 free spins with each additional wild awarding an extra 5 free spins going into the bonus.
In the free spins game, players will benefit from 15 additional paylines as the middle reels expand from 3 to 5 symbols high. The bonus involves the same functionality as the main game but with a slightly improved max win potential of 375 times the stake per single spin. As if that number is not sad enough, the game is capped at 1750x.
