Wild Scarabs Introduction
Wild Scarabs is a 5-reel, 3-row slot with 243 ways to win and players are allowed to bet from €0.20 to €60. There is nothing innovative or new about this game whatsoever, let’s just get that out there straight away.
The egyptian theme we have obviously seen a thousand times before (and we don’t mind), the way the scarabs are collected (we’ll explain further down) strongly reminds us of Yggdrasil’s Valley of the Gods, and the gameplay is more or less a clone of Microgaming’s own Dragonz.
The backdrop bares some resemblance to Big Time Gaming’s Book of Gods.
Wild Scarabs Symbols
The game includes 6 low value symbols made out of various gems that pay next to nothing. The premium symbols are of course a bit more interesting, but there are not much riches to be found here either in all honesty. As can be seen in the image above, the wild is the most valuable and pays 37.5x for 5 of a kind. There are no wild reels present in this game however so you’re likely not going to be able to get a full screen of wilds.
The wild has a very central role in the game, both in the main game and the bonus as you will se below.
Wild Deal feature
Microgaming has been lazy here and taken this feature directly from Dragonz, so you’ve likely seen it before. If a wild lands on the middle reel without resulting in a win, it will add up to 4 additional wilds to the reels.
Free Spins mode
Land 3 or more scatter symbols on the reels and 10 free spins will be awarded. This feature is also taken directly from Dragonz, and specifically the Switch bonus. Once 3 Scarab wilds are collected, 3 wild symbols will be placed on the reels creating a guaranteed win. Free spins continue until all wilds have been awarded.
